Home of Legendary Shawerma

شاورما ريم — طعم عمّان الأصلي منذ ١٩٧٥

01 — The Cut

Carved by hand.
Paper thin.

Layer on layer of marinated beef, slow-turned in front of the fire, then shaved to order. The same way it's been done on the streets of Amman for fifty years.

02 — The Roll

Wrapped tight
in warm bread.

Garlic, pickles, and a fistful of crisp-edged shawerma, rolled the Reem way.

03 — The Arabi

Toasted.
Sliced.
Legendary.

Our story

One spit.
Fifty years.

In 1975, a small shawerma stand opened in Amman. The spit was enormous, the cut was thin, and the line went round the block. Half a century on, Shawerma Reem is one of the best-loved names in the Middle East.

Now the legend has crossed the ocean. Same marinade, same knife work, same fire. Our first American home is on West 95th Street in Oak Lawn.
